”On the whole our stay was lovely. Beautiful location Hotel room slightly dated didn't look like the photos on the website. Staff were okay. Asked for a margarita at the bar said they couldn't make one. So asked for a fresh raspberry cocktail which was on the menu. Described as having fresh raspberries. No raspberries to be seen. And the drinks were expensive. Breakfast was nice but slow. Wouldn't return.”

”The hotel is in the beautiful city of Grasmere. There was limited parking even though online advertised available parking. When I booked online, the family room showed two beds. When we arrived, there was only one. The plumbing was very noisy and the shower was very narrow and hard to use. The bed was not comfortable at all. ”

”Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.”
