”This is my second stay here and it's not my last. This hotel looks unremarkable from the outside but it is beautiful on the inside. Open fires, stunning wood beam ceilings, a fantastic pool and the rooms are spotless. There are spa treatments available but we didn't make use of them this time. The treatments are a bit pricey but i think if you buy a spa package when you're booking your room it works out cheaper, so have a look. The staff in the hotel are all lovely and very friendly. ”We found this hotel and it’s an absolute gem! Nestled above Lake Windermere, it has a lovely atmosphere and comfy rooms. We had both dinner and breakfast there and they were both tasty and to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay there again”

And our twin room was very comfortable - very comfy beds and excellent shower en-suite. Very nice touches in lots of ways. We ate dinner both nights and were very impressed with both the quality and quantity of the meals. We really hope we will have another visit! ”

”A gorgeous tastefully decorated hotel absolutely immaculate. Staff welcoming. We went out of season and it was so peaceful stayed in the stargazer room with beautiful views of hills. Would definitely return and grassmere village is just lovely ”

”We are a family of three who spent two nights in the family room. It was spotless, comfortable, very well presented with good facilities. We had an issue on our first night but the staff did their best to deal with it. Fortunately this was resolved. Breakfast was great, excellent quality and a good selection. We will definitely stay here again.”
