”This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty...

”A lovely hotel, currently being refurbished. Very friendly staff. Great food, great service. Spa is first class and very clean. Had a massage which was heavenly! We will hopefully be back again sometime soon”

”The 3 course meal was al a carte status, excellent made by chef/ owner. Lovely bedrooms and v clean and owners very welcoming. Lovely views and walks nearby. For children the wildlife park is worth a visit nearby. ”

”The breakfast was really YUMMY. I had the avocado toast ( amazing) and my husband had the English breakfast( he said it was the best!!). Staff really nice and helpful. 5/5 star Room was beautifully decorated and bathroom was huge and beautiful too. Perfect location to walk village and also hike!!”

”Room was very clean the view from the room was looking over the river, having a balcony was lovely if it was summer time it would have been lovely sitting outside. Room 204 highly recommend. Evening meal of chicken supreme was excellent. ”

”Great location in town centre. Stay spoiled by sewer odour in bathroom that couldn’t be disguised by the scented bottle they put in there. Property also didn’t reply to an email I sent about an item I left behind in the room.”

”Rooms were comfortable. Good beds and duvets. Wonderful view! Staff were very approachable and pleasant. The breakfasts were good apart from the last day when no hot breakfasts available. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal but were disappointed there was no hot drinks available afterwards. Not easy to park for larger vehicles.”

”We arrived and wasn't too sure which of the pubs we were staying in. One of the girls was really helpful. The room was extremely small but absolutely not an issue. It was relatively clean, the only thing's that were a bit of a put off - the stains on the chair in the room, cooling fan covered thick in dust, bath matt was mouldy and the bathroom had black mould on the ceiling. Despite this the bedding and towels were all nice and clean. Weve never had a shower so hot before in any hotel which...

”Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.”
