”Room was fine with what looked like a recently refurbished bathroom. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully presented and of à high quality. Would definitely stay here again”

”lovely pub owned by the Lowther Estate. Stayed 3 nights while attending a wedding at Askham hall 6 minutes drive away.
Food was well above usual pub food, and sourced from the Estate.
Recently refubished.
Walls a little thin and you could hear voices from room next door. Also no lift and original worn stone stairs to bedrooms, so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
Staff helpful. by the second day when they realised I liked fresh milk for my tea in the bedroom, they put a fresh...
