Maalaistalot – Lake District National Park

”The the property and gardens, of course are phenomenal. This is an older. estate property so some issues can be expected with the conditions of the finishes. Unfortunately, with us being seniors, it was very difficult for us to get our luggage to the third floor by stairs. The size of the rooms are also quite small but clean.

”The room was lovely & comfortable. The Evening meal was delicious. The only thing that let us down was the breakfast. It didn’t seem to be freshly cooked and wasn’t very hot & not very well cooked. A shame. If we stay again we will not pay extra for the breakfast.”

”Lovely friendly, helpful staff, comfy beds, a great breakfast and a nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Building interior is a bit dated.”

”Had an incredible stay here. The house and surrounding area are stunningly beautiful, and the rooms are very cosy. Loved the amenities provided and the staff were wonderful, down to earth and happy to help with whatever you needed. We booked a room with a conservatory and had an amazing time watching the bats fly in and out of the tree next door. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the dinner service. I can see why you have so many regular guests!”

”Lovely old house, the bedrooms were warm and cosy and the breakfast was exceptional”

”Lovely way to spend a day”
