âHigh Peaks Resort is on the main street through Lake Placid, putting it within walking distance of a broad seletion of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a balcony view, but never looked outside because it was usually dark by the time we got back from skiing. The pool and jacuzzi also looked nice, but we never got a chance to try it out. Staff was friendly.â

âThe front desk was very welcoming and accommodating. We appreciate the welcome champagne, cookies and hot chocolate. We had to check in and out at the High Peaks Resort which is infront of Lake House. It was snowy in January so it was as expected. It was mushy and all but we love the whole set up. âAt the very first moment, the owner Al made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was cosy and comfortable with all the necessary thing one would need. Breakfast was ok. Since we had been on the road for almost two weeks prior to our arrival, Al insisted we use his washing machine to wash our clothes! Had a good time spending one evening at the pool and around the campfire getting to know people. Would recommend this place to anyone that's ever going that way! Good...
