”Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

”The ceiling had water damage, the bathroom tub was not cleaned well.. the comforter smelled like armpit, the door peep hole was painted over… the property outside and the all other areas were clean and smelled good. ”Place was disgusting. Sheets had not been washed and smelled like B.O. Hairs on the floor of the shower. TV that did not work. It was like I was staying in a homeless shelter”

”We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The space was very clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. It was the perfect size for two people, offering plenty of room to relax while still feeling cozy. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy our time together. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing cabin experience!”

”Staff was terrible I reserved and paid in advanced for a nonsmoking bedroom and staff charged me extra money at the time of check in to stay in a nonsmoking bedroom. I was very disappointed.”

”This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink.”

”Enter the lobby and you are overwhelmed by a spray air freshener! Like getting sneezed on by a bathbomb! Horrible Manger was rude and not helpful! I arrived to check in and there weren’t any rooms available! I asked how and she just said we ain’t got no rooms….I had to scramble to find a place to stay that weekend! Will never return or recommend!”

”Bartender was so fun and nice. But trying to find someone at the front desk was a little challenge. But she finally showed up to help us and was so kind. We were at the very back of the hotel and had little to no Internet so if you stay and have to work, make sure to stay close to the office.”

”Okay for a one night stay in order to be near family we were visiting. Room smelled musty, bathroom was good sized and seemed clean but room itself felt a bit shabby. Front desk staff member when we checked in was polite enough but not friendly and seemed like she didn’t want to be there.”

”staff at the front desk were excellent although we were assigned a room where the air conditioning did not work but they sent a mechanic to the room right away. When it was found the system would not work, they arranged to move us to another room but it had to be after we got back from a wedding at 11pm.”

”My AC was not working. I got to my room, and the temperature had to be at least 85 degrees. The AC unit was blowing out hot air. When I complained about the issue I was told "some people like the rooms warm. They told me they would send up someone to fix the problem and they never showed up. Fortunately, it was a cool day and I could open the window partially, and I was able to turn the AC off. Another positive was I only stayed one night. The hotel was full, so a room change was not possible.”
