”Staff was friendly. Definitely an older hotel that has tried its best to modernize but a few things were showing their age. The other comments about noise were spot on. It seemed like sound really carried in this hotel and we could hear a lot of things, but we were only there one night so we just dealt with it. The EV charging was a nice touch and one of the reasons we booked here.”

”The hotel looks clean from the outside, the lobby and the hallways were messing looks like they didn’t even vacuum, the room we stayed in smelled horrible, had a mix of body odor and cat litter, the bed wasn’t stained so that’s good, but the fridge has some weird brown residue on the front and the bathroom countertop was stained as well, the fire alarm went off twice as well”

”Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

”This was the second time I have stayed here, and I can say without a doubt this will be my first choice when I need to stay close to the Hartford area. I love how central the location is to everything I wanted to go and explore!”

”This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink.”

”The A/C had to be set at 60 degrees, to get a comfortable temp. The staff stated that was normal. That's pretty close to meat locker. I live in SE Florida, where nights are usually 80 to 90 degrees, between June and October. I set my A/C at 74, and am quite comfortable. On the second night, the toilet clogged up, would not flush. The front desk said I could come down and get a plunger, and unclog it myself. I didn't pay $150.00/night, to unclog my toilet. The next day they sent a maintenance...

”Staff is great. Very kind and willing to help. This is a solid stay if you’re looking for the basics done very well. If you’re looking for luxury of function… you might pass. Perfect for people traveling with a dog or two. There is a large field adjacent to the parking lot which makes potty time very convenient. Overall we loved the place because it was located well, quiet, clean and comfortable. Rooms are small. 👍”

”The hotel was uniquely college themed. I’m sure this is fun for the student’s families that will find this location ideal. For the price, I expected a complimentary continental breakfast. The restaurant staff were very attentive and the service was good. Unfortunately your only choice is to purchase food/coffee on site.”

”Nice. Check in was awesome and she was super nice! And maintenance guy was super nice! Complaints were breakfast ended early, outdoor space wasn’t clean, room table only had 1 chair and it was stained. We would stay agin but plan better!”
