”We particularly liked the way the staff treated us. We had a problem with getting to the hotel on time and were helped by Ema who also gave us a warm welcome.”

”We had a nice stay at The Pheasant. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was good with lots of choice. The pub is in a beautiful setting, about 5m drive from Kirkby Lonsdale. The room was a good size, and had a comfy bed, although was a bit run down, especially the bathroom, which had peeling plaster, damp and cracks. Toiletries were included and good quality.”

”Nice location (quite remote and quiet) and friendly staff. Some gaps in the breakfast service, e.g. lacking glasses, plates etc. And the breakfast ended already at 9 which was very early for me. The condition of the hotel was quite worn-out and occasionally dirty, there were several spiderwebs and spiders in the hallway and the smell of our room was musty. ”

”From arrival to leaving nothing was too much trouble. I was on my own and the staff were more than helpful as to where to visit . The food was varied and excellent. Breakfast was basic continental but didn’t want any more. I make what I consider sensible comments not criticism and mentioned these to them. 1 possibly a small fridge in the room in view of current conditions but found out I was lucky and had a larger room so this wasn’t feasible throughout. ”The bed sheets felt a bit tight, and it would be helpful if the rooms had a telephone to allow guests to easily communicate with reception when needed.”

”Auton sai parkkiin kadunvarteen suoraan hotellin eteen. Ystävällinen henkilökunta otti vastaan. Söin illalliseksi hampurilaisen ulkona ja ateria oli maittava. Hotelli oli hiljainen ja huoneeni oli halvimmasta päästä, wc ja suihku oli käytävällä. Olin niiden ainoa käyttäjä. Aamiainen kysyttiin etukäteen ja pöytään oli katettu huoneen numerolla paikka. Hotellin wifi oli tosi nopea verrattuna yleisesti tarjolla oleviin ilmaisiin verkkoihin. Hotellia vastapäätä on suklaatehdas, kannattaa vierailla.”

”Very dissapointing stay. Rooms were tired, food was below par with us not enjoying our meal at all. As a resident we struggled to find anywhere to sit in the bar as the bar/lounge was full of people visiting to eat food. Kept up all night by dogs barking so didn't sleep well. Had to wait for 20 minutes one morning at breakfast before we were given a menu or asked if we wanted a tea or coffee and only provided after we prompted the staff. Only plus was that generally the staff were nice and...

”A lovely welcome on arrival, room was very pleasant. Only downside was I would have preferred the breakfast buffet laid out on a table rather than the bar.”
