”Breakfast was basic but ok. The spray you're using to clean the bathrooms and wipe down the tables has an unpleasant smell. Room was clean but a bit tired- curtain rail damaged and repaired with a bulldog clip. The view was excellent. ”

”Very close to the ferry to isles of scilly had 2 portions of ham egg and chips as we are gluten and dairy free and it was excellent enough to feed 4 Old building showing it's age .breakfast was very greasy .Gluten free bread was not nice”

”Great guest house with a generous living room space and kitchenette. We had a separate entrance for our room. Well located to the city center with spectacular views over the harbour. Very nice to have a parking spot and very responsive staff!”

”Wow what can I say… we loved staying at Borthalan House. The location is perfect for St Ives with train station only a few minutes away and easy routes to beautiful places such as St Michael’s Mount and Minack Theatre. What made our stay extra special was Margaret and Martin who really looked after us. Margaret’s breakfast was delicious and Martin’s humour gives us a good kickstart to the day. Borthalan House was really cosy and the room we stayed in had lovely sea views. We will miss our daily...

”Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay at the coast accommodation from being greeted to very welcoming and friendly staff to a very clean apartment with amazing sea view from the rooms plus everything was a short walking distance away from Carbis bay beach which takes about 11 minutes to the amazing costal path that takes you right to st ives with views that are hard to beat”
