”Avril was a lovely host, very chatty and friendly and knew a lot about the area and it's history. We were attending a wedding at the Seamill Hydro which is only a couple of houses along from the B&B, super handy! Our room was clean and comfortable. The house has a lot of character and original features. The view from our room was amazing, looking right out to the sea and Arran. ”We had a beautiful stay. It was in the countryside, and only 5 min from the small town of Dryman. Gordon, our host, was excellent - cooked a great breakfast, was attentive to every need and request, and offered up great suggestions for things to do. ”Once we were dropped off by our taxi on the street, we knew it was not a good area. The taxi guy warned us to be careful due to it being the roughest neighborhood in the area. I genuinely did not feel safe. The small alley/street we walked up to get to the entrance was lined with trash and shady characters. The halls and building smelled so strongly of smoke.
