”Birding is spectacular. The grounds and trails are amazing. So many plants and animals. Beautiful views. Rooms are basic but clean. Food at the restaurant for dinner is average but service was consistently great. Breakfast was better. Overall service was excellent.”

”Older hotel, but lovely staff, gated parking, and right across the street from the beach. Has a restaurant, but didn’t eat there. Many dining options within walking distance. Would gladly stay here again! ”

”Wonderful place to stay. It is in a rural setting over looking the lake. It was fun to stay right at the brewery. Lots of wildlife hanging out in the area. Food was very good. The owner was around and very friendly. He even joined us for breakfast to continue to have a conversation. Highly recommend staying here”

”The staff is very helpful. There is a beautiful private path in the forest behind the b&b. we ate breakfast with monkeys, it was an amazing and up close experience. The food was outstanding.”

”We visited Monteverde in the end of our vacation and it was definitely the right decision. Service was very polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and large, but cold, especially at nights. I think this was the best hotel for our purpose to visit the Monteverde forest area and there were also easy bus connections to Santa Elena. Food in the hotel restaurant was delicious!”

”A nice, clean hotel with magnificent views. The overall look was a little bit outdated, but it didn't matter, because everything was clean and worked well. Staff was nice. We really liked having our tasty breakfast while enjoying the view. ”

”Excellent hotel with excellent service. Hot springs area was amazing and much bigger than expected. We visited here in low season (May) and there were zero crowds in the hotel nor hot springs. If you go to this hotel, make sure you enjoy the hot springs at night time as well. ”
