âProperty is decent, got what you paid for. Got food poisoning and was charged $500 in a medical bill. Medical facility and care were way better than expected. Food was okay in my opinion, nothing to write home about, but got the job done. Not much to do on the property besides pool, beach, and small miscellaneous activities. Definitely an older crowd, so it was peaceful and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.â

âThe hotel has the potential to be a best in class place. The infrastructure is there but staff should be better trained. There was no water from 3-5 PM in our rooms for 2 days and the person checking us in AT 3:00 should have informed us of that. Instead there is a little note on the table easily missed and we didnât see until we tried to use the restroom in the room. âBalcones del Caribe is a beautiful spot with an excellent location and easy access to the beach. The complex feels very safe, and the staff were always helpful when we needed general information.
My only concerns were about the condition of the village: the back door didnât have a proper lock, the bathroom door wasnât closing well, and the safe box wasnât working during our stay.
Overall, itâs a lovely place with great potentialâjust needs a bit more attention to maintenance.â
