To start off, our stay was frustrating from the beginning. We booked a king room, but upon arrival we were given two queen beds. After a long drive and just wanting to relax, we had to go through the hassle of getting that corrected.
Parking was another issue — $35 per night, which we were not informed about until check-in. On top of that, there was an additional $25 per day “destination fee”, which was also not clearly disclosed ahead of time.
The room itself was modern and visually nice, but the bathroom was a major problem. Every time we showered, water flooded the entire bathroom floor, making it uncomfortable and inconvenient to get ready without soaking our feet.
The staff was not very helpful. Anytime we called the front desk for towels or toilet paper, the phone would ring for a long time with no answer.
The biggest issue, however, was the hidden fees and billing problems. During our stay, we were charged two separate $150 fees. One was for incidentals, which we understood, but the second charge was supposedly because someone charged Starbucks to our room, which was not us, and it “went over” the $150 incidental limit. This was never clearly explained and is still confusing.
At checkout, our final bill showed $300 in additional charges, not including the $600 we had already prepaid for our 5-night stay. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and unexpected fees made this stay very disappointing
