Follow your chum’s wagging tail into the gorgeous, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here he can enjoy a refreshing bowl of water as you prepare dinner or relax at the breakfast bar with a cup of coffee. There is also a sofa in here where you can take five minutes to yourself in front of the TV and Rex can stretch out on the floor beside you. Call your family and friends through to sit down to their holiday feasts at the table in the adjoining dining room, then gather in the main lounge for fun evenings together, while Rex keeps you company. One of your bedrooms, which is double in size, and its en-suite shower room, are also downstairs. Bid Rex goodnight and head through here or up to the floor above, where you will find a super-king-size and a king-size bedroom. A family shower room is also located at this level. Enjoy the tranquillity of the garden with your cheerful chum nearby. Fire up the hot tub, sizzle supper and watch Rex bask in the summer sunshine. There is also an external, shared snug with a wood burner.

Drive 11 miles to Roadford Lake, where you and Rex can stroll along the banks and he can race free in the dog exercise area. Plan a day trip to Tintagel, 18.5 miles away, where he is welcome to explore the castle and its surroundings with you if you supervise him carefully on the steps and clifftops.
