Welcome receptionist was very nice and offered water. After that we didnt met a person that spoke english and everybody who we tried to talk to, ignored when they didnt understand. We were unable to ask anything during our stay because the reception was closed and the others we met didnt understand english, not even at the beakfast. We went to the breakfast around 8:30 and all the food were gone and tables dirty. Rooms were old and dusty, definitely NOT worth the money even tho the location was nice. NOTE that there are a lot of stairs in the area and at the hotel.

There are about 40 steps to the rooms, and several smaller and shorter ones on the property. Keep this in mind if you travel with a lot of luggage. You also need a code from the property prior to parking your car. You take a bus from the parking to about 600 meters to the entrance. We didn’t know ANY of this until we got there. A LONG walk but oh so worth it. Spectacular!!

Mont saint Michel is a great place to visit, but we arrive by car to the parking and after we had a long walk to take the shuttle, when arrived to the hotel it was very hard to transport our luggage on unlighted stone stairs. The rooms had no safe. And the Restaurant of La mere poulard is Very Expensive …. THE OMELETTE price is between 42€ and 95€.

Rien a redire de particulier sur l hotel de la mere Poulard. En revanche, comme passé 17h tout est fermé dans le village, il n est simplement pas possible de prendre un cafe, verre pendant un certain temps. Et il n y a qu un restaurant ouvert dans le village qui ouvre a 18:30. Menu tres limité et qualité moyenne d ailleurs. Donc honnêtement il n y a vraiment pas beaucoup d interet a dormir sur place.

Estávamos com uma grande expectativa sobre esse hotel, nas fotos tivemos a sensação de ser um hotel simples, mas aconchegante. Chegando lá o hotel estava em reforma e ficamos no anexo. Um dos quartos o banheiro estava em péssimo estado, com mofo no teto, puxadores estragados e o bule sujo. Apesar do bom atendimento na recepção uma pessoa do restaurante nos tratou muito mal. Foi uma péssima experiência que não esperávamos.

The wifi did not work and our room was noisy. Apparently every room is noisy, since delivery trucks arrive before 6 AM. Also the food is unexceptional. However le mont st Michel is spectacular.

1 nuit dans l’annexe de la mère Poulard. Apres un portillon en bois cassé nous arrivons dans un bâtiment avec qq chambres. Nous sommes au rez de chaussée donnant sur le chemin. Nous devons donc tirer les rideaux occultants donc sommes dans le noir dès l’après-midi. Toile araignée dans les angles, salle de bain dans son jus (la poire de douche ne tient pas) et la chasse d’eau ne marche pas tout le temps. Il serait temps de restaurer un peu tout ça plutôt que de surfer juste sur la notoriété !

Cool old hotel but not super comfortable
The hotel was quaint and was in a great location on the island. But the room was hot (no air conditioning) and we didn’t want to leave the window open because people could walk right by our window and see into the room. There were also no screens on the window, so we had tons of bugs in the room.

Way over rated!
It was ok but nothing to talk about. The only thing that made up for stay was the view because i paid extra for it. OLD! outdated and needs updates unclinding carpets. Way over rated and forget their famous omelette restaurant.Rude staff at the restaurant when you spend $100 for 2 omelettes. The perfect trap for tourist!

This is an old, charming property, which I like. The location was excellent. This is an island of stairs, so pack light. A backpack makes travel easy. I would stay in this hotel again, but I did regret opting for a garden level and instead of upgrading to a higher floor. I hadn’t realized it’s not a private garden, and sometimes tourists walked by our window. Because of this we couldn’t leave our windows open to cooling breezes at night. We stayed overnight to avoid the crowds, which was ideal. The shuttle parking was very easy, costing 20 euros in September. We avoided lines in either direction thanks to arriving opposite traffic in the late afternoon and leaving in the late morning. We got a sunset dinner in the evening, and had lots of space and no line to tour the abbe in the morning. Breakfast was excellent at the hotel, with a lovely view. Staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
