I could tell from the reviews that this hotel probably wasn't the nicest, there were no other hotels in the area with vacancy... so i opted for a suite hoping it would be a little nicer/cleaner than thier basic rooms.
If thats the case I'm afraid to know what a standard room is like on the inside.
First off I'm not the pickiest person and i've stayed in some interesting places. AND i understand that this is an old hotel.
I'll list the positive things first: staff was friendly and helpful, and the A/C blew ICE COLD the first night, and the bed was clean. also the hot water was scalding.
Now the negatives: there were several large stains on the carpet, two of them were red. The carpet on the floor near the bathroom was soaking wet, the carpet in multiple parts of the room were VERY sticky, the bathoom floor tile was wet the second night, there was NO hot water whatsover the second night, the A/C wouldn't work the second night either... i went down to the front desk twice before the sent anyone up, and then he just unplugged it and the re-plugged it back in..... it continued not working for several hours and then kicked on at some point during the night. They claimed they didn't have another room to move us to.. which i understand, but it still sucked. Many of the bathroom tiles were cracked and it was just overall really rough.
it's not the worst place ive ever stayed, and if you can handle kinda roughing it... it wasn't bad. But it still cost $160 per night. Which is ins
