A generally fine stay with some real positives: the staff were lovely, the room had good facilities, the bed was very comfortable once I remade it, and the view across the park was great. It was also quiet, and the air‑con made it easy to get the temperature right.
A few things let it down: the décor felt a bit tired, shower sealant was peeling, the carpet was stained, and the kettle was scaled and awkward to fill. The main issue was the bed presentation — several inches of mattress were left exposed on both beds because the sheets hadn’t been pulled up far enough, which didn’t feel very hygienic.
Overall, decent, but could be improved with more attention to detail.
