The unique and quirky nature of the rooms was kind of fun, and the price was affordable. Everything worked in terms of appliances and fixtures, and it was all spotless.
The proprietor (I'm guessing) made check-in pretty easy, but he must have asked me at least six times in the space of three minutes if we had any dogs or cats with us (we didn't). And the free breakfast consisted of some coffee, hot water for tea, and a couple of pastries, so if you are a breakfast person, try the Pancake House across the street.
The property is probably around 60-70 years old, and even though it's been kept up, it's tangibly aging. If you are looking for sleek and modern, look elsewhere, but for a safe, clean place to spend a night on the road, it's a good value.
