”I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I needn’t have worried as I had an amazing week. The resort/village and apartments were both fantastic and the staff at Barefoot Contessa/Hemingways were always really friendly and helpful: Dimitra, Olga and Spiros and co.

Excellent hosts- especially Zefie and Lea - who make you feel very welcome.
Rooms are basic but comfortable - which is reflected in the star rating/room rate, they are spotlessly cleaned everyday and have everything you need including air conditioning (included in the price).
Pool was great - especially with an ice cold Mythos from the pool bar!

The customer service was impeccable: everyone was from start to finish very friendly and professional. Our stay started with a surprise: room upgrade and complimentary sparkling wine.
The room itself was lovely: spacious, stylish, clean and seemed to be brand new. Bed was comfy and the room had a beatiful sea view. And most importantly: there was AC and the rooms were really quiet.
