”What a delightful place to stay for a short break in the Suffolk borders! Beautiful spacious rooms and first class restaurant food at dinner to complement the generous breakfast options. The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised how good the value for money was and we belatedly realised this is part of the same group as another of our favourites, The Maltings in Weybourne.. ”Unfortunately, the hotel reviews from previous guests did not prepare us for the tired and “seen better days” hotel. The exterior paintwork peeling and despite very helpful staff the stairs, corridors and room had seen better days. We decided not to stay but booked another room elsewhere. Shame because we book many hotels through hotels.com and 9/10 have been fine. This was not “up to standard”. Sorry”

”No food Monday or Tuesday, the only food available is a Chinese in the village that doesn't take card (cash only). Not sure about other rooms but room 4 the Internet is terrible on all the networks and no phone signal either. Room is not made up or restocked during the day. The pub car park is small and the patrons seem to abaddon their vehicles all over the place which mean you can't get parked. There is a fridge in your room🌟 Would I stay again 🤔 doubt that very much.
