Great place for families. Liked the availability of games and books in case you get stuck inside due to weather. Kitchen well supplied for cooking. Minor issue with the guest cottage hot water (very small water tank, not enough for a shower) but those folks just used the main house. Overall excellent!

Great stay for the holidays!
We loved our short weekend stay at the cabin for Christmas! Both cabins were super clean and had everything we needed from an accommodation standpoint. Very close to the trails also, will be back for sure!

Very clean
The main house was very clean inside … the additional house was not a heathy environment to stay in even though it was beautiful and we planned to use it … we could not due to the fact of the tarp on the roof had leaked inside the additional house made it feel unsafe … there where a lot of bugs and water marks on the walls. It smelled like mold and mildew. Getting inside the house we did not receive the right code and with no reception I had to drive a few miles down the road to call the manager. The Wi-Fi passwords and usernames where incorrect and there where three inside the home which made it very confusing. Over all I would stay in main home again. It was beautiful and clean. Although I would recommend curtains or blinds for the living room/kitchen windows. It has an amazing view off the deck with the pond and trees… at night the stars are absolutely amazing!

Great property
The stay was exactly as expected. It was very clean and exactly what we were looking for. It was listed as a charcoal grill, but when arrived it was a propane grill so we brought unnecessary supplies. I would recommend that in the welcome binder put internet connection instructions, we had a 1-2 second power surge which cut off the internet on the 3rd day of a 4 day trip. Unfortunately, the internet did not come back online and we could not figure it out so we did not have internet for 2 days.

Definitely recommend
In town for family wedding. 6 adults, 6 teenagers. We used both main house and guest house. So much room for everyone. Wide variety of dishes and cooking utensils. We did have to ask for more towels as there wasn't enough. Hot tub and pool table needed attention. All matters were handled promptly. Owner very responsive and staff polite and quick. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Beds very comfortable. Highly recommend. One suggestion is to bring slippers for guest house.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Checking into the cabin was very easy but the stay was not smooth. We stay over the Fourth of July week where it was 90+ degrees outside and the A/C unit was broken. Susan, the owner, had three people out to check the A/C with no answer and not getting it fixed. We had to all sit in the guest house for the whole second day because of the heat. This cabin also advertises a pool table and a game room. In this “game room” there is only a pool table, in which you can not play. It was purchased from an arcade asking for quarters. We put in quarters to play and still nothing. There were no balls to play. Throughout our stay, we were frequently reaching out to the owners and were not receiving a reply after the first maintenance man came out to check on the AC unit.

Some Issues
Not enough towels, wash cloths, no dishsoap, only 3 trash bags for 4 days. Air conditioner in main cabin never went below 80 degrees. We still managed to have a great time.

Debi, We are sorry to hear about your experience. We always make sure there are enough starter items for the number of people listed on the reservation . When we heard about the issues we immediately brought you 12 extra towels, wash cloths and more dish soap. For the AC we were out there within an hour and mentioned that it would not work well when it was nearly 90 degrees and most of the doors and windows were open. We have had several guests since and have not had any issues but are keeping an eye on it. Again, we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Please reach out if you have any other concerns.

Enjoyable Stay for 2 Families (4 adults, 8 kids)
There were 2 families that stayed here for 4 days/3nights for our Spring Break. 4 adults, 8 kids (ages 3-15). Overall, it was a great place to spread out. We never felt crowded. It was really nice to have the extra little house for the 3 teen boys to stay in. It was great to have the big open grassy area to play in and the kids also enjoyed the wooded area on the property. We went out during the days and did hiking at a few different locations....it was nice to be pretty close to trails. We did all of our meals in the house. We would spend quite a bit of time opening cupboards looking for stuff, but it was pretty well stocked. It was good that the owner told us that we would only have 2 dishwasher pods, trash bags, etc......because we needed more than that and did bring some. Hot tub worked well. Firepit was nice to have - bring your own firewood. We bought some while we were out, but didn't use it all and left it for the next group. Description said there was only a charcoal grill.....but there was also a gas grill. Defiintely heard a group of coyotes yipping and howling in the evening times. Quite a few vocal birds in the mornings. Teen boys don't really care about sheets/pillowcases, but their moms do. When I realized the boys were not using sheets or pillowcases, I searched both houses for them, but couldn't find any extra linens. I eventually emailed and asked if we could have some, but by then we only had one more night. They said housekeeping would bring us some, but I never saw any. We also did see a small mouse run through the basement area one evening. Didn't love that there's a decent-sized cleaning fee and then there were also tip envelopes for the house cleaners as well. Overall, the weather was great during our stay and the accomodations were really enoyable for our two families to have time together.

Great hilltop retreat
Our family had a great mini-spring break at this spacious and comfy cabin. Great updates space, comfy furniture, lots of seating, comfy beds. There was lots for us to do including building a fire in the fire pit, feeding the fish in the pond, corn hole, billiards, board games and more. It’s super convenient to great hiking spots (we loved Cedar Falls), the wind chime store and to the city of Logan. Highly recommend!

Really beautiful property and cabin, perfect for our getaway weekend. The hot tub was great (we visited in Feb.) and the rest of the cabin was very cozy and provided a wonderful environment.

A Wonderful place/cabin to stay in.
Place was very clean. Linen/bedsheets smelled very clean!!. Beds were very comfortable (and we are pretty picky) The basement was perfect for the 6 kids we had in our party. They all were able to have enough space with the dbl bunk beds and their own sitting area and bathroom. The cottage house was very nice. Management was very helpful and easy to get ahold of to solve any issues we might of add. Definitely recommend this cabin!!

Great Getaway
Plenty of space for everyone in my group of 10 to sleep comfortably, and everyone can sit at a table or the island to eat. Kitchen supports two to three people cooking together. Hot tub on a snowy night was simply magical. There was some confusion on instructions for checkout between the binder and what I was emailed and what the property contact told me directly. Recommend printing the checkin-checkout instructions before going because not much cell service. Overall we had a great time and this property was perfect for what we wanted for the weekend.

Terrible accommodation
When we arrived we found several things dirty, even a red work towel was left on the clean towels. Bathroom wall was very dirty and under the door handle as well. Several light bulbs were burnt out. Hot tub was leaking. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, and we were asked to start a load of laundry and the dishwasher before we checked out. Weven paid a heafty cleanup fee and felt that's what that should be used for. There was an envelope to tip cleaners; I felt was unnecessary due to the cleaning fee I already paid. Beware not to use there cleaning products either you'll be charged. Such a shame because no one likes staying in filth. We felt as if we could not relax because we were told there were cameras and didn't want to be treated like toddlers. Please save your money and go somewhere you'll get your monies worth.

Super cabin accommodations
This is our third summer staying for several days at Bushwood cabin. It is a beautiful location and the accommodations are top notch. The cabin is well appointed and tastefully decorated. The kitchen and family areas are ready for great dining and playtime. Our only concern was that we did not receive our arrival packet until just before we needed to leave our home. It was a bit challenging to contact the manager since the number given on the website is not in service. All in all this cabin is top shelf. My family loves it and we hope to go back next summer.

Fantastic Girls' Getaway!
This is a fantastic cabin for a large group - with ample, comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, beautiful and comfortable Great Room. Country setting - but close to the caves and hiking trails. The small cottage is delightful also. Highly recommended!

Overall ok, but a little stingy
Overall an ok. The listing and FAQ all said EVERYTHING for the kitchen was there. Unfortunately there wasn’t any Saran Wrap, tin foil, ziplock bags, or measuring spoons. We stayed in the whole time and cooked all our meals there. Unfortunately they only give you 1 kitchen towel and 2 trash bags! 12 people bringing all the food & eating in the whole time produce more trash than that. We even ran low on TP, only 1.5 rolls per bathroom! Cleaning wise, just don’t look under the tables or at the dust. Beds were comfortably, hot tub great, and decor was nice.

Enjoyed every minute of our time in this beautiful and large cabin. It is well laid out with places to gather both upstairs and downstairs, perfect for our family of 5! The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and there were a number of game and movies on site as well. I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful property.

Best one yet.
We meet every year for Thanksgiving with my cousin and her family. It is our tradition. This property has been the best property to date. Extremely clean, quality furniture, bedding, and more- than- you-could- ask -for stocked kitchen. Even the Coffee Pot was crystal clear. The Hot Tub was clean and maintained and the stone fireplace was gorgeous and put to great use. This is a beautiful cabin.

Peaceful getaway
I and my family enjoyed the quiet setting! We discovered some games and a few learning books for the kids to keep them occupied on the rainy day we checked in. The kitchen has more than ample dishes and accessories! We also enjoyed the pool table! There were more than enough blankets and towels for the 7 of us. If you need guaranteed wifi or cell reception, this is not the place to stay. It wasn't an issue for us as it gave us the opportunity to reconnect. The charcoal grill wasn't what we expected but we were still able to use it once. A better description of it would have helped us plan for our meals. Communication with the home owners prior to our stay was awesome! It's a beautiful place to stay. I would only recommend adding a picnic table for outdoor eating.

The cabin was very nice and very well stocked, especially the kitchen which we loved. Lots of towels even for the hot tub. There was 7 adults and one infant and plenty of space to spread out. The small cabin did not have much hot water in shower.? only other con was neigbors who shot off about a thousand rounds of gunfire at night and then ran chainsaws at 10:30 at nite !!! wish grass had been cut. Enjoyed trails and watching fish in pond.

Perfect country retreat - peace and quiet for large families.
Peace and quiet! The property was extremely clean, had plenty of space, a terrific kitchen and living area, lower level play area and a hot tub! The only things missing: measuring spoons (smaller than 1 cup), and a laundry basket (we did a lot of laundry). No big deal. We appreciated having so many towels being provided! We had 2 families staying there (4 adults and 4 teens) and there was plenty of room for indoor and outdoor activities. We never even used the guest house. The location is great, only 15-25 minutes to about everything in the area. We loved relaxing on the big porches while the kids played pool or board games. Great fire pit, trails to walk and animals to watch. No one was bored because there is always something to do. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place for a vacation in Hocking Hills
This was a great property with plenty of space both inside and outside for our family's vacation. It is in a great location to easily get to all of the different trails and sites of Hocking Hills.
