”The location in a rural setting on the lake was a perfect getaway! You can tell love is being put into making this a comfortable and modernized getaway. We appreciated that it was stocked better than any hotel but it was warm and cozy and comfortable. It was a wonderful spot to be able to drive to lots of beautiful Michigan gems too. ”

”We enjoyed our stay immensely! The beautiful views including sunrise are priceless. We loved that we could fish just steps from the door. The house was very clean, bright and nicely decorated and comfortable beds. The surrounding neighbors were all very friendly. We would definitely stay here again! ”

”This is our 4th AuGres rental and by far our family’s favorite! Can’t say enough about the very clean and comfortable accommodations! The nautical decor was perfect with nice big beds with comfy bedding and towels! Kitchen fully equipped with everything you’d need! I had no reservations about my 10 month old grandson crawling around! The new back patio was totally awesome with lots of chairs and lounges! We enjoyed the big round picnic table for snacking and playing card games! Lots of beach...

”We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to...

”This is a lovely location. It’s quiet, across from Lake Huron, you can walk on the side of the road, however driving to the public lake access is not far. Tiffany is a very gracious and kind host. We will definitely stay there again when over that way.”

”We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head...

”Everything was wonderful. Just one pretty minor complaint: the CD player was weird to operate and only one speaker worked. We had a great time. We visited Tuttle Marsh and the River Road on the Au Sable River on our way out, and climbed the lighthouse and hiked all around the edge of the peninsula. The fall colors were at peak for a good portion of our trip up. Thanks very much for making our 40th anniversary a great experience.”

”Cottage was super cozy. Very accommodating. The neighbors were extremely friendly. Even though we ended up with a pretty chilly memorial weekend, it was super nice with bonfire and warm cottage. Ample parking and roads straight to trails and clear lake party store/bar/gas station to just jump in machine and take a quick ride to get last minute essentials. Will definitely love to book again!! And bonus had a land line that was helpful if we lost reception. ”

”We loved staying at Sandy Cabins. The cabin was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was as advertised. Our fur babies loved the sand and water and the lake front location was perfect. We think this might be our new yearly weekend get-a-way with our boys!”
