”Steven and Beth were amazing hosts and very helpful with local information! Their cottage was exactly as listed. Beautifully decorated, serenely quiet, and very comfortable. It was stormy during our stay, so the view wasn't perfect. But sitting on the porch, deeply inhaling the forest scent while having coffee, was the most relaxing experience one could ask for! ”The property has a fantastic location. Easy walk to the beach where you can walk and walk in either direction. The property was clean and comfortable with two great decks. As other reviewers have noted, the decor is dated. That didn't bother me because I've never stayed in a beach house that seemed up-to-date and I think the price reflects it. My only complaint is that it's a little beat up inside and out. Nothing that ruined my stay, but worth noting. I would gladly stay there again.”

”Everything was just as the pictures. A regular chair would have made watching football on tv a lil better, the bed to sit on was ok. Very clean! Had shampoo/cond/body wash in the shower already. & even had qtips & round puffs to wash your face. I didnt use the laundry room but it was nice & clean. ”

”Fabulous location if you want to explore the big trees in and around Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.The cabin was immaculate. Quite simple but tasteful decor. Bed was very comfortable, not too firm or soft. Bare minimum in way of cooking/serving utensils, because space is so limited. We travel w/ some kitchen gear so we did prepare a few simple meals. If we could change anything we'd add a corkscrew and a couple wine glasses .We will stay here again! ”

”Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. "Our room was in the back and very quiet. The office staff was VERY polite and kind. We arrived quite late and left early the next morning. The hotel is not new, so shows some wear and tear and my socks picked up a fair bit of dirt, but it didn't seem unclean. The beds were comfortable."
