”What a unique relaxing stay enjoying birding, kayaking, stargazing, sunsets off the bridge and watching the kids capture crabs galore. We loved the quirky cottage with its amazing large wrap around window views. Donna and Mike are caring hosts, offering plenty of tips on the area when asked. The island is conveniently located close to Yorktown and not far from Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. The kids also enjoyed both Yorktown and Jamestown beaches during the stay. ”

”We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. If...

”Super friendly hosts! The little touches and details made all the difference. From the basket of towels and sandals for the hot tub, to the welcome book full of local food and fun, you can tell they really care if their guests enjoys their stay! ”Communication was great from the initial booking. Spacious, clean, and very private. Great accommodations and up to date appliances/furniture. Canoe is a lovely addition that we took pretty far down the river to explore. Would absolutely return and recommend to others!”
