The house is dingy, dirty walls that have holes, marks and patches with no paint, filthy, scratched door jams, dirty light switches, clutter everywhere, a dirty swiffer mop leaning against the wall in the dining room, the photos in the VRBO listing do NOT show the real condition of the house. The front and back decks are filthy and chair cushions are unusable, there is debris scattered all over the front yard with a lawn mower and pressure washer sitting in front...

”So the parking was a bit hard to find because it was down a side alleyway. When we got inside, none of the beds had sheets on them and the linens in the dryer were still a bit damp. I texted the host but got no response. There was brown stains on the memory foam mat in the kitchen and spider webs in the bathroom that we had to clean. I later called the host because the WiFi password wasn’t listed in the welcome book as written in the Evolve email. You cannot access the bedroom TV at the same...

”We loved our stay in this cozy cottage! The windows in the back overlooked the York River and it is so serene. There was plenty of yard for our dog to sniff around and we loved watching the birds in the marshy area. Our host was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. It was very close to Yorktown. Would definitely stay here again!”

”Nice property however needs a deep cleaning….refrigerator, under beds, sticky floors, and ceiling fan definitely needs attention. Nice area. The dining area antique table and chairs are not comfortable…the rest of the couches and chairs are good…lots of room and nice game room.”

”This was a great experience and we had a wonderful time. The home has plenty of space for a large group and we loved the pier, beach and water. It's not far from grocery stores and restaurants. It was our base of operations for Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. We will definitely be coming back. ”

”Very good for the price. While the home well water may be drinkable , visitors should know it has a strong unpleasant metallic taste and smell. It is also slightly colored in a clear glass, and it had clearly left brown colored residues in the toilets making them look very unclean especially the toilet upstairs. Home and Kitchen need to be better equipped, an electric kettle is advertised but was not seen anywhere. A basic hair dryer would have also been nice to find in the each of the full...
