”We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend @ Grand Lake Cozy Cottage. The layout of the home is perfect. The kitchen is at least a 4 person working kitchen so that was great. The additional dining space was a plus. Due to inclement weather, we ended up having a great 'game day/night' at the table. It was enough for 6 people. The levels of decking was a bonus as was the boat house play room. It was nice having a long dock at we brought two fishing boats along with us. You won't regret renting this...

”The renovations done to this house have made it an absolutely wonderful getaway up north. The finishes and furnishings are perfect. We stayed for a long weekend with two families very comfortably. Kudos to the hosts, this was a wonderful place and we’d be happy to come back again!”

”This was our 1st VRBO experience. We came to town for our daughter’s wedding; We needed lodging to accommodate 4 adults and 2 young children. This home was perfect for us, clean and cozy, well stocked. The 2 young children (ok, the adults too) enjoyed the toaster to make waffles by morning and the fire pit to make s’mores by night. We’ll likely return if our daughter continues to live in Alpena!”

”We were in Alpena to visit our daughter and grandchildren. They live about half a mile away. We were amazed at all the condiments, utensils, and supplies in the house. The Wi-Fi worked great - I worked all week from the house. We come up to visit (usually) at least a couple times per year and are looking forward to staying here again.”

”Wonderful property for a large group. I felt like it didn’t matter what the weather was, we were covered for entertainment. It was beautiful for our stay, so we were in the water and on the pontoon!A couple of things that we had to go to the store for was dish soap and dish washer detergent and toilet paper. ”Such a beautiful home and location on the river. Kathy was very easy to communicate with. It was so comfortable and filled with amenities. The added bonus of kayaks and paddle boards and option of the pontoon boat was so nice. It was very clean and it was a relaxing stay. We didn’t want to leave to go to our next stop! ”

”Amazing stay! Only 35 minutes to ferry for Mackinac island. Soooooo nice grilling on the private back patio after a long day with the kids. The bunk beds will be a core memory for our kiddos. Place is beyond clean. Fantastic ice cream next door——my son’s favorite was carrot cake flavored! ”

”This property is well managed. My sisters and I easily checked in and out with minimal fuss. We spent our time with each other instead of cleaning the house.”

”This was a very clean "homey" hotel. More so than other run of the mill hotels. These guys had actual dishes, real coffee grounds, roku style tv, even the view out the back window was trees. It gave a real sense of home away from home. Wish i couldnt spent my whole trip at this hotel honestly. They really think out all you need for cresture comforts away fro. Home. I cant say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend!! ”
