”Planned weekend away fell just 2 days after massive storm that resulted in a regional emergency. Host Kaylene was wonderful to deal with and said she would refund us if we were unable to have the holiday (no power at home etc). Wonderful host. Home was toasty warm and welcoming. Spacious rooms, super king beds (x2). Great location to explore the Tuatapere area e.g Hump Ridge, beaches (Gemstone Beach!!), Clifden Caves etc. Highly recommend and we plan to come back. Kaylene delivered a pyrex pie...

”This is the perfect space for a weekend away. Only a couple minutes drive into the main town with quiet surroundings. Well appointed amenities set on a beautiful property. Views of the snow top mountains and farm animals a plenty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this renovated home. It was absolutely picturesque and the hosts were amazing. We’ll be back for sure! 10/10 recommend! ”

”We loved the location of this cozy cottage in Manapouri. We were able to walk into the village easily and grab dinner and it was a short drive to Te Anau. The owners provided great information about the local area and hikes and had lots of great books about the area. We definitely felt like a local staying here and it was a perfect getaway spot. (We especially loved listening to the melodic birds while sitting on the patio.) ”

"The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and quality pillows. Breakfast, however, was a disappointment—I missed fresh vegetables and would have appreciated more than just butter to put on my bread. The breakfast area was crowded every morning, and the space felt quite cramped. The food at the hotel restaurant was poor in quality and didn’t meet expectations. Keep in mind that the hotel sits atop a small hill, which makes the walk from Queenstown’s town centre slightly uphill. "
