”The place is very quaint but a bit tight for our group. For example, you could not open the basement door and the back door at the same time. This made unpacking and reloading a challenge. The downstairs "lounge" was somewhat finished with painted walls floor and overhead. Very low ceilings down there as well. My 6'4" husband banged his head more than a few times. ”The owner was very prompt, professional and friendly during booking and pretrip arrival. The home on the Kankakee River had comfortable furniture, beds and chairs.The kitchen had all high -end and functional appliances. Sadly the weather did not cooperate during our 4 night stay for us to enjoy the various outside seating areas at the house and along the scenic river.We were even allowed to park inside a garage.I would definitely stay here again and reccomend this proprty as a 6 STAR haven!I...

”Enjoyed three nights at this property to hike the dunes. Location was good, towards the West side of the park but an easy drive to multiple hikes. Also had the option to walk directly from the house for the Miller Woods trail and Miller Woods Beach. Backyard was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. ”The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy.”

”My family and I stayed at this home and enjoyed every bit of it. We didn’t worry about entertainment because there were so many fun games. My family doesn’t travel without Uno and Uno no mercy but everyone was too busy enjoying what this property already had to offer. There was space for everyone to fit comfortably. Which is always a concern for the giants in the family. I highly recommend this location. We will be back soon..”
