Pros:
The location is definitely the highlight—right in the central district and super convenient. Most of the main attractions are within a 30-minute walk, which made getting around really easy. The breakfast was also solid. It’s £20 for adults, but kids eat free, which is a nice bonus. Good variety and a great way to start the day.
Cons:
The front desk experience wasn’t great. After traveling over 15 hours from Asia with two tired kids, we were barely acknowledged at check-in on the evening of 7/4 No greeting, no smile—just a young woman staring at her screen who didn’t seem interested in helping. We had a lot of luggage and no one offered assistance. I had to ask for help, and they just pointed to where I could find a trolley. All in all a very apathetic, almost indifferent reception and this was across several interactions over our 3 night stay.
The room was pretty tight for a family of four. Once the pull-out sofa was set up for the kids, there was hardly any space left to move around.
Also, the gym was very limited and the sauna was closed for maintenance, which was a bit disappointing.
