What a disaster. Seven lightbulbs didn't work in the room when we arrived. It's a very dark room, but after three days of no replacement bulbs and no communication, I was ready to just buy my own bulbs. That day they replaced them. Communication was horrendous. There is no front desk, just a room for a teenager to hide in when she turned up for work and closed the door. It was a heatwave and there is no air conditioning. The windows are locked so that they only open a few millimeters, No airflow whatsoever. The hiding staff girl told me it's so we guests don't commit suicide. Why they think we pay high London prices to kill ourselves I don't know. There was a rooftop outside my window so I would have fallen only a small distance. They did not give us a fan (they ran out) until our final day so we spent the time sweating for a high price. All requests/queries must be made by app but sometimes they don't respond for days. The TV did not work. They suddenly brought contractors into our room over two days to do an urgent replacement of the fire alarms. They allowed the workers into our room when we weren't there. The urgency of the fire replacement made it seem like they had failed and had to fix it that day. Also there were constant tests of the alarms over several days. I have used Sonder before in NYC and it was wonderful. I am a Marriott Platinum member. This was the worst stay EVER. I would ask for a refund but they made it obvious they don't care.
