”Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future.”

”We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel doesn't have a car park but the young lady on reception told us what to do, she let us leave our bags in reception and gave us directions to the local cricket club just around the corner ( 2 min walk) there is an honesty box at the cricket club for the parking fee. The breakfast was lovely, there is a wide range of choices from hot or cold. We would strongly recommend staying at this hotel and we will definitely be...

”Because it’s an old property there isn’t enough plug sockets in the room & trying to do my hair without a mirror by a socket & somewhere to sit was pretty impossible So if your not bothered with this it’s a fine place to stay Missed fresh fruit at breakfast ”

The location is right next to the lake with beautiful views. It is easy to get into Keswick either by boat, bus or walking alongside the lake. Highly recommend this hotel.”

”Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice room with ensuite. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available. Great choice at breakfast, including those, like me, who only want a continental breakfast. We dined in the attached restaurant both nights and the food, and service, was very good. We arrived by bicycle and safe storage was provided. All in all great value for money and highly recommended.”

”Nice location (quite remote and quiet) and friendly staff. Some gaps in the breakfast service, e.g. lacking glasses, plates etc. And the breakfast ended already at 9 which was very early for me. The condition of the hotel was quite worn-out and occasionally dirty, there were several spiderwebs and spiders in the hallway and the smell of our room was musty. ”

”The hotel is in the beautiful city of Grasmere. There was limited parking even though online advertised available parking. When I booked online, the family room showed two beds. When we arrived, there was only one. The plumbing was very noisy and the shower was very narrow and hard to use. The bed was not comfortable at all. ”
