Longwick-cum-Ilmer Hotellit

”All was great”

”The room was beautiful and clean. Very good amenities, including an ironing board and an iron which is a rare treat! The staff were great and it was nice to have the pub downstairs. Breakfast was exceptional 👌 cooked to order.”

”Lovely old building with smells of a proper English b&b”

”We had a nice and comfortable stay overall. The venue is lovely, with beautiful views and a great location. The rooms were nice, although a little dated in places. There were just a few things that could have been better. The toiletries were very limited for two people – only one soap, one shower gel and one body lotion. There was also a crack in the shower, and the water was filling up when using the sink, which wasn’t ideal. The spa was lovely, but we were disappointed that we had to pay...

”Stayed in the hotel for one night since my congress hotel nearby was fully booked. A very positive surprise in the English countryside: friendly staff, tidy spacious rooms, good quality food. I will visit again, should my travels take me into this direction.”

”Lovely warm and cosy room. Very comfortable. Just want you want when planning a trip to the area with the changing seasons. Great location for Downley Hill walks, West Wycombe and Princes Risborough, Aylesbury, Thames and Oxford. Nice helpful and obliging receptionist Narinder and the smiley guy whose name I cannot remember. Thanks, and see you again soon. 😃”

”Lovely room comfortable bed staff friendly and helpful and a lovely breakfast”

”Great food, breakfast is fabulous lots of choice and actually the hot breakfast was hot which was great compared to other hotels, lovely helpful staff, huge suite, just needs brightening with some colour and touches here and there. Air con needs checking as wasn’t that cold and I am a hot person so really wanted it to be better. Shame there is no jacuzzi in the pool area and the pool is shallow both ends but I did have a lovely massage with Brenda. Overall lovely stay definitely stay again.”

”Although a little tired and dated the hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff is what makes the hotel, friendly and professional. Helpful and welcoming and only too happy to give information with a special mention to Diana in the restaurant. The location was great, with plenty of parking. I would stay here again.”

”Perfect for a one-night stay. Staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and very clean. The shower was great and the bathroom was spotless. Best part was the included breakfast - lots of choice and good quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!”

”We had a lovely one-night stay at House 41 while visiting Aylesbury Theatre. The room was spotless, warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to relax after our evening out. Helen, the owner, was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and the perfect start to the day. We couldn’t fault our stay and would highly recommend House 41 to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely return if we’re in the...

”The hotel is a lovely building, the staff were nice”

”We would stay again lovely hotel”

”Very nice stay in small and cosy Old Amersham village. The hotel was cute little old building dating back to 15th century (oldest parts). Room was well equipped; big bathroom with tub and separate shower. Complimentary toiletries ans water was provided. Breakfast was okay, more british style (as scandinavians we missed all the veggies). Staff was very helpfull and nice.”

”Really poor service from the reception team. We were charged for the room again at check out because she didn’t speak to us before charging to a card. It wasn’t even the card used to book but one used to pay for breakfast. We were then told that she couldn’t fix it and WE had to email guest relations. We did and the guest relations sent an email back saying accounts will refund us IF the charge was taken twice in 3-7 days. Accidents happen but this has been dealt with incredibly poorly and...
