Title: Horrible Experience – They Ruined My 49th Birthday
I stayed at the Riu Santa Fe in Cabo for 5 days, and this was by far one of the worst resort experiences I’ve ever had. On the second day, I woke up to small black bugs in my bed and all over the nightstand. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable.
They moved me to another room, but the problems didn’t stop there. The shower in the new room was clogged, and the water wouldn’t drain. Maintenance came to “fix” it, but that night when I showered again, the water was still backed up past my ankles.
When I went to the front desk and spoke to Pablo about the bugs, his response was, “This is a resort, we will have bugs.” I understand bugs exist — but not in the bed where guests sleep! That kind of response was insulting and showed zero concern for what happened.
This trip was supposed to be special — it was my 49th birthday — and instead, it was completely ruined. Between the bugs, the broken shower, and the unhelpful attitude from the staff, I will never return to this resort. Save your money and book somewhere that actually cares about their guests.
