”The staff were hands down amazing. I am so appreciative of all of them to the cleaning crew to office staff. We decided not to rent a car, although I’d 100% recommend that you do. The hotel arranged all our transportation to and from the airport. Had the same local driver, Walter, who was great! We are not bilingual so Denis was a lifesaver and great to talk to. The views and surrounding area are breathtaking. I would like to note to other travelers, this is a eco boutique so there will be bugs....

”This tranquil hotel is a highlight of our trip. Such a peaceful place. Nice rooms, great beds, entertainment room, full kitchen for guest use and a delicious breakfast is available. Highly recommended and not far from SJO airport. The staff was very helpful and so nice!”

”This was a short but sweet treat to one of the most beautiful coastline of Costa Rica. The staff was super friendly, everybody was helpful, accommodating, supportive, and the condition of the property as well as the food of the restaurant was very good. We traveled with our two year old toddler, and the stuff always was very kind and friendly with her while practicing for Spanish. ”I can't recommend this hotel enough – I spent 3 nights here and loved every minute. Everything was perfect – super location, a clean, serene room with a balcony to sit out on and watch all the wildlife... Delicious breakfast and food in the restaurant (and at the moment all the football matches projected on the wall!) ... Every member of staff was kind and helpful... And so many nice touches: the lovely yoga in the open air studio... freshly baked cake every afternoon... and a to-go breakfast on...

”I saw a flea on one of the beds. We only stay for 2 nights. The price was affordable. They have a nice pool but we didn’t use it. Personnel were very friendly, welcoming and friendly.management has this rule that you have to turn off the ac unit when not at the room. Otherwise you will be penalized with a fee. Place was convenient. We stay last minute at the hotel since we’re booking a last minute tour to Tortuga island”

”The property is beautiful, Tomas is incredibly helpful and passionate, comfy bed, nice pools, yummy breakfast (bread/ jellies, coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruits, eggs) & close to beaches and Bioluminescent tour in secluded area so plenty of nature to enjoy. The entrance sidewalk is steep so wear hiking/tennis shoes not sandals/ heels, Tomas did offer to help us bring our bags up which was nice but just be aware it may not be accessible for everybody. ”At beginning we got a bad impression because the receptionist didn't tell us anything about the system in the hotel. The breakfast wasn't a buffet as mentioned in the booking website. Also the receptionist who checked us in didn't mention the possibility to use the pool at Ylang Ylang resort. ”Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. ”

”Wonderful place and lovely host. Their bioluminescence tour with Luis was amazing! Bed is comfortable. Be aware that there is no AC and it is 80 degrees at night. They have a great set up, fans pointed at the beds. Highly recommend this proprty!”
