Very scenic and peaceful. They have a swim area with a slide. My room s grouping was separate from the common type hotel. They also offer lakeside cabins and RV parking. I would love to go there just to be there!

This is a great getaway, clean,quiet and cheap. However the property is not new it’s a few years old. The Restaurant is great for Breakfast and Lunch. Great people.

The stay was more than expected and their food was so good. We wish we were living closer because we would dine there frequently. Also, they have affordable prices for hotel and cabin stays. We will definitely return.

Never again
Very, very neglected property. Horrible stains at bottom of toilet & in corner of bathroom. We arrived early & room wasn’t available so front desk took phone number to call when room was ready. We waited in parking lot, although of course we could have stayed inside. At official check in time still had received no call. When I went inside to see what was going on, I learned that all rooms had already been cleaned & they didn’t call because they were “too busy.” Ordinarily that would not have been a problem but we had limited time to change clothes & drive to another town for a wedding & had not realized the check in time was 4 PM. Obviously mistake about check in time was on us but their asking for phone number but never calling was on them. When we got back that night had very difficult time getting keys to open our door. Key (old fashioned key) worked fine earlier but we were on verge of calling office when we finally jiggled one of the 2 keys in just the right way to open the door. That of course was little more than annoyance but certainly did not raise my opinion of this property. I can say desk between beds had generous options for plugging in devices. Also bedding looked nice with bright white comforters, but those comforters were apparently designed for Alaskan winters & the only other option for cover while we slept was the sheet. I can say that AC unit worked very well.

Though our travel here was for a life celebration we throughly enjoyed the resort. Yes a bit summer camp feeling, which we absolutely love, everyone was incredibly friendly and nice and the facilities are in good shape. Feeding the duck, geese and fish was a daily event. Let me tell you they have some awesome cooks!

This place has great potential but needs a lot of money pumped into it to reach that potential. The place is falling apart. There were bugs in the bed of our first room, and our second room had a strong marijuana smell. We were told the cleaning staff is subpar and tends to leave open doors after cleaning. I believe this because most of the doors in our cabins either did not close or needed to be lifted to close and lock. Hinges in the rooms and the dining room area were rusty, and light switches reminded me of the ones I had growing up in the 80s. The breakfast bar was limited and had dried eggs due to staff not paying attention. The orange juice tasted well.

The property has easy parking and nice beach and restaurant area. My family of 4 stayed there and enjoyed the food (both the dinner and breakfast buffett and the beach menu for lunch) and beach. The beach has a younger side area (small slide and splash waterfall), a bigger kid area (bigger slides and sports), and then all the stuff that's out in the lake for those that can swim. I plan on making an annual trip out of this area.

Stayed here a few times over the years. Beautiful location, rooms are in good condition. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Has a good restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Weekends Only... I requested a room on the top floor facing the lake. Even though there were only a couple cars in the entire parking lot of the motel, I was given a ground floor room NOT facing the lake. When checking in, the clerk's attention was only on her adult daughter behind the counter. When asked about the breakfast offered, I was told that it only applies to Fri/Sat night stays. When asked about the restaurant advertised as open 7 days per week, I was told it was closed during my stay. The lake was beautiful! The service was not.
