Rickhouse: A structure designed to store and age distilled spirits.

Sparked from a passion for fine spirits and the idea that a home can contain all the makings to craft the perfect cocktail, the Rickhouse was born. Featuring chesterfield leather seating, a vast collection of cocktail glasses, regulated 4-tier humidor and spirits-centric art, it strikes the perfect match of comfort and eccentricity.

NuLu (New Louisville) is known for its stylish bars, splashy art, unique goods and an ever-growing number of the best new local eateries. Your house is located one street behind the main strip, so walking to the heart of NuLu is less than 5 minutes!

The Bourbon Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ full bath right outside the door. This bedroom contains custom built bourbon barrel walls, sourced from Kentucky’s finest distilleries.

The Sotol Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ connected full bath. This bedroom features Sotol (AKA the Desert Spoon) - a clear spirit primarily crafted in Mexico and was introduced to us by way of Texas distillery, Desert Door.

The Rickhouse has a fully fenced backyard with a patio, grill and fire pit. We supply the charcoal and firewood (when in season).

Free street parking is available directly in front of the house. Whether you prefer walking, biking, scooter-ing or Uber-ing, there's so much to do and see around you - and lots of ways to get there.

We had a great stay at The Rickhouse in NuLu. First, the hosts were great from start to finish. Very flexible, responsive and offered great suggestions on live music, rooftop bar etc. The location is in an up and coming neighborhood and literally a 3 block walk to hit bars, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and beverage store. The inside of the house is well appointed, comfortable and has a trendy vibe. Perfect for two couples with plently of space. The outdoor area is also very nice with a grill, firepit and warm outdoor lighting. We would rebook in a HEARTBEAT.

Excellent hosts and superb accommodations. From the amenities and small touches we would highly recommend. Instant communication with her suggestions on bourbon tours and restaurants. Loved the wall of glasses and fire pit. The location was walkable to everything we wanted to see.

Nice place, great host

Really nicely decorated home, very clean too. Kitchen had nice appliances and high quality cookware, which we don't always see, and the kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with all the personal items you might need. Hosts were extremely responsive. Only downside is, while the location is in walking distance to a lot of great things, it is a block off the main drag. We felt safe walking around, but someone was able to get into our car overnight, clearly looking for cash or quick change. (The only thing I had of value in there was my pickleball paddle, which they didn't bother to take.) So make sure to lock up and don't keep valuables in your car!

Prime NuLu location

Fantastic location! Just a short and easy walk to the NuLu area—perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, wine tasting, a distillery visit, and even a great ice cream shop! Downtown is only a quick Lyft ride away.The house was perfect for two couples—stylish, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed (and more). We loved the decor and thoughtful touches throughout. Communication was smooth and responsive. Highly recommend!

Great stay and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Bed a little firmer than I like, but everyone else loved the beds. Great communication with the host and excellent amenities at the house. Just wish it wasn't raining, so that we could have used the backyard space. Guess we will just have to come back!

A great place in NULU

This house has everything you need for a great stay in NULU. It’s in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and boutiques. The house is well stocked, comfortable and clean. The hosts are accessible and very helpful. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing house!

Absolutely spectacular property and the owners were incredibly gracious and helpful! The house is immaculate and has an awesome bourbon theme. The backyard fire pit was so much fun to hang out at night and drink our daily bourbon finds. It is within a 5 minute walk to a bunch of great restaurants and bars. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Stay for 2 Couples

My husband and I and another couple came to Louisville and stayed here for a weekend and it was wonderful. It was a weekend filled with bourbon tasting and eating at local restaurants and we thoroughly enjoyed our downtime at the Rickhouse. From spending time in the backyard to enjoying coffee on the comfortable chairs and sofa, this is a perfect accommodation! Very comfortable and outfitted with great quality bedding, toiletries, and a full kitchen - including any bar accessories you might need to create a cocktail! We enjoyed delicious coffee provided by the owners. Hope to return for another weekend! Thank you for your attention to detail.

Bourbon Trail

This place far far far exceeded our expectations. Hosts are the absolute easiest and understanding I’ve ever worked with. The decorations put us in the Louisville spirit immediately. The local coffee, cocktail mixers, and whiskey cubes were unbelievable touch to make us feel right at home. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you’re in Louisville- stay here!

Memorial Day Retreat

The property was wonderful! We really enjoyed the backyard and the ability to smoke cigars. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the softness and smell of the bathroom towels. Awesome details from barware to even makeup remover wipes! It was within walking distance to several restaurants, distilleries, microbreweries and shops. We had a great time and would stay here again.

First time to Kentucky. Won’t be our last!

The Rickhouse was the icing on our cake trip. The hosts were so wonderful. Recommendations and communication were spectacular. We loved NuLu! Being about to leave this space and walk a few blocks to the action is my favorite way to explore a new place. This checked all our boxes and then some. Can’t wait to visit again.

Had a great time in and around Louisville. Property was everything that was advertised. Had a small plumbing issue which was immediately resolved by the property owner. Loved the home. Would stay here again.

Charming, beautiful appointed , and every tool needed to make a proper cocktail! Beds were super comfy, loved the outdoor fire pit and having a beautiful comfy space to hang out with friends was perfect for our visit. The neighborhood was slightly more transitional than we expected but the overall the location is fabulous. Kenzie was super helpful with recommendations. Hope to return soon!!
