Lower Holker Hotellit

”Perfect location for walking and chilling.”

”Very nice flat plenty of space and nice and clean.A few items could be improved, no soap in the property, instructions for the washing machine would be helpful .Guests staying a week or more it would be nice to have a welcome pack or at least some tea and milk etc . Biggest problem no Wi Fi , property uses a neighbours internet to run the smart Tv which only had one bar or didn’t work at all for the 1st 3 days but tv guys sorted it to freeview. As the phone signal is not good in the area I really...

”The hotel was very beautiful old building. The apartment was spatious, bathrooms were very nice, but the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the temperature in the room was too high. Windows couldn't be kept open because of the terrible smell from the cows next to the hotel!”

”The property has real presence and looks stunning. Its decor is in keeping with the property and looks a bit worn but makes it feel loved. Breakfast was good but we had to wait both days for the food to be topped up as there’s only one waiter trying to do everything. The room was large and bed was comfy. The bathroom was not good no water pressure so water came out very slowly and not very hot. Shower unit was very noisy and no heating for such a big bathroom apart from a towel rail so it was...

”Loved the quirky fixtures and fittings in the room.”

”We stayed for one night during a long trip from the highlands and is the perfect place to stay. The onsite team are extremely friendly and professional. The food is excellent and our room was comfy/clean/ warm and well appointed. The bar is quite popular and is a good place to enjoy a drink and a real bonus is the fleece inn is extremely dog friendly. There is a grass area outside with easy access and places where can dine in the pub with canine companions. Everyone was so friendly particularly...

”We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there”

”We had cabin 1 and it was great. Hot tub, wood, everything was lovely and well thought out. Everything you need was there”

”Our room in the coach house was compact but was very clean, had everything we needed and overall satisfactory. Our room faced the main road so lots of traffic noise. The shower room window had clear glass & faced the car park with only a blind for privacy. Last time we stayed we were in a larger quieter Lapwing room which for us was better. Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.”
