Location

Situated close to both Tuscan and Umbrian attractions, L'Albero Bello villa is a wonderful base from which to easily explore this magnificent region. Enjoy the sites of a medieval walled hilltop town of Lucignano less than a mile away. Varied shops, restaurants and grocery stores adorn the town of Lucignano. known as the pearl of Valdichiana, Luciganano is one of the most interesting examples of medieval town planning. It is a hidden gem with its elliptical structure based on concentric rings. This authentic town has been untouched by mass tourism, a place truly suspended out of time. Be sure to visit the elaborate reliquary made for the church of San Francesco in the Museum of Lucignano. Called the L'albero della vita (The Tree of Life) the central stem is supported on a Gothic reliquary, from which spread out twelve branches, surmounted by a Crucifix and a pelican. On the branches there are sprigs of coral, representing the blood of Christ.

There are so many sites and villages to visit within a short distance from the Villa it makes L'Albero Bello a perfect home base. Just 30 miles away is Arezzo, Siena and Lake Trasimeno. Go horseback riding, play tennis, tour wineries, get out on the water in Lake Trasimieno there are endless possibilities surrounding you!

Local train and bus service connects through Arezzo or drive 15 minutes to the Arezzo train station that has direct service north to Florence and south to Rome.

Exterior

This lovely old stone house reserves all the character of its 17th century origins.

The tranquil landscape and private setting make this a perfect escape. The pool will provide many hours of enjoyment during the summer months. The outdoor covered lounge and dining patio affords comfortable space for dining al fresco. The pool has a pool house with a full bathroom, a kitchenette and barbecue.

Interior

The airy rooms are beautiful and comfortably furnished. There is a lovely blend of traditional and contemporary design. Eclectic artwork, kilim carpets and fabulous beamed ceilings add interest, color and architectural charm. The living room at the heart of the house has windows that open onto the garden and a large arched passageway that leads to the adjacent dining area.

The large, air-conditioned kitchen is well-appointed and filled, with another great beamed ceiling and unique tile work it's perfect for preparing delicious meals with the wonderful delicacies abundant in this region. The four air-conditioned bedrooms ensure a restful night. Each has its own modern en-suite bathroom for your convenience.

A beautiful and cozy sitting room on the second floor has air conditioning available for the warmer months and an open fireplace for cooler autumn evenings.

Payment: Upon reserving, 30% of the total rent is non-refundable.

Utilities included in rent, except cost of air conditioning & heat paid locally at check out.

Air conditioning usage averages €50 / €80 per week depending on actual consumption.

Heat usage averages €50/day.

Pool: Available mid-May to mid-September

Booking Period: Rental period is Saturday-to-Saturday during high and mid-season. Shorter stays may be possible on a last-minute basis and for other seasons, please contact us for information.

Services: Maid service three times a week included in rental. Additional services such as meal delivery, and grocery services can be requested in advance and paid for locally.

Check in/out: Check in 4:00 to 7:00pm, by appointment. Check out 10am.
