”The property was modern and had a nice complimentary breakfast and beverage ticket. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the pillows on the bed smelled a little funky though. Otherwise a very pleasant stay and we got upgraded which was nice!”

”My niece and I loved it here! Staff was excellent. Very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly. Beds & pillows were comfortable. Enjoyed the scent of the bathroom toiletries. Nice view of city from our room. Convenient location with lots of good restaurants close by. Not far to get to train. Love that they allow dogs & cats. (We didn’t bring our dogs but it was nice to see a dog there). Very quiet room. Wasn’t the typical loud hallways and slamming doors situation. Would absolutely stay here again!”

”I would stay at the Godfrey again. I felt very comfortable in my room. I did not see any bugs. The room was clean. It has some minor scratches/bruises/bumps on a few surfaces, but for the most part, it suited all of my needs. Drinking water being provided by the front desk was convenient. "My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."
