Nice experience in Luxembourg
The room was tidy and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and even though the hotel is a bit off from the centre around the EU area, there's a good and free tram connection that takes you to the centre in 15 minutes.

Local staff did not know that shop were open on sunday 31.6 and they also did not know that trams were free all weekend. Both were asked from staff.

EU-korttelissa sijaitsevien harvojen majoitusliikkeiden tapaan tässäkin hotellissa hinnat nousevat päätähuimaaviksi suurten kokousten aikaan. Heti seuraavana päivänä huipputason majoitusta aamiaisineen oli kuitenkin tarjolla jo 137 euron vuorokausihintaan. Tällä kertaa sain nauttia lisäksi huoneluokan korotuksesta komein metsä- ja kaupunkinäkymin. Näköalan lisäksi moitteettoman siistissä huoneessa nro 301 oli runsaasti tilaa, tyylikäs sisustus, erinomainen sänky vuodevaatteineen, tilava kylpyhuone ja erittäin hyvä kylpyamme. Yleiset tilat niin ikään erittäin siistit, avarat, modernin tyylikkäät ja henkilökunta kautta linjan käytökseltään hotellin tyyliin sopivaa: korrektia, palveluhaluista ja joustavaa, vastaanotossa hieman hitaan puoleista. Ravintolasta sain yllättävän kohtuulliseen hintaan maukkaan pasta-aterian viineineen. Ainut negatiivinen yllätys oli runsas buffet-aamupala, joka komeasta ulkonäöstään ja esillepanostaan huolimatta ei makuelämyksenä poikennut mitenkään tavanomaisesta ketjuhotelliaamiaisesta. Suosittelisin panostamaan raaka-aineisiin, jotta myös aaminen vastaisi maultaan hotellin muuten erinomaisen korkeaa tasoa. Bussi lentokentälle ja kaupunkiin muutaman sadan metrin kävelymatkan päässä.

Siisti hotelli hyvien bussiyhteyksien päässä
Hotellissa siisti, tilava huone. Buffetaamiainen oli runsas, sillä jaksoi pitkälle päivään. Ystävällinen palvelu kaikkialla hotellissa. Hieman kaukana keskustasta, mutta julkinen bussiliikenne on hyvä. Kävellen keskustaan n. 20 minuuttia. Keskustasta poispäin sijaitsi ostoskeskus, jossa erittäin hyvä supermarket. Matka sinne bussilla n. 5 min, kävellen puoli tuntia. Kaunis ja siisti kaupunki, hyvin hoidetut viheralueet. Paljon historiallista nähtävää.

Prime view of Luxembourg from both the room and the stylish outdoor terrace. Breakfast is especially enjoyable and worth the rather steep rate. Probably would not stay here at prime rate season but August is a great time to get a top notch hotel at holidays rates. Thank you Melia for a memorable stay.

Hotellin puutteena oli parkkipaikan puuttuminen. Maksullinen paikka oli, mutta maksoi hunajaa. Hotellilla pitäisi olla sopimus parkkiyrittäjän kanssa. Meille luvattiin savullinen huone erillisillä sängyillä, mutta ei toteutunut. Olimme puhelimitse olleet yhteydessä ja meille oli näin luvattu. Tupakointi oli näin mahdollista ainoastaan ulkona sateessa ja tuulessa. Ei ollut kivaa.

Nice hotel in Kirchberg
If you're going to stay in Kirchberg, this hotel is an excellent choice. (I did, so it was handy to have everything within a walking distance.) The rooms were comfy and I was pleased with the service. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Luxembourg City.

Annoin sijainniksi 5, koska kyseessä oli työmatka ja hotelli oli kivenheiton päässä työpaikastani. Matkailumielessä ympäristö voi olla vähän tylsä, mutta bussilla pääsee kyllä kätevästi keskustaan (hotellin mukaan myös kävellen, luultavasti pitää paikkansa). Huone oli oikein mukava ja siisti, wifi oli ilmainen ja toimi.

Hotelli oli todella siisti ja huoneet sekä yleiset tilat olivat mielestäni tosi hienoja. Ainoa huono puoli on sijainti, sillä hotellin ympäristössä ei ole juuri mitään palveluita. Keskustaan pystyi kuitenkin kävelemään melko nopeasti, noin 15 minuutissa.

Hieman liian kovaa sänkyä lukuun ottamatta hotelli on lähes täydellinen kunhan sijanti Kirchbergin alueella ei häiritse. Jos palaan takaisin Luxemburgiin, varaan huoneen todennäköisesti uudestaan tästä hotellista.

My opinion is based on my countrys (Finland) standard level. The Middle European quality is one star poorer than a scandinavian one. In Finland this hotel would be a 3 star hotel. Clean and tidy, but the aircondition did not work - it was a VERY hot room. The shower didnt flush the water down so my engineer husband did what he could. Breakfast comme si comme sa, somewhere in there in the middle but not a luxuorious as you may wait for a hotel registered with 4 stars. A very lovely persons working at the front desk! Points go for them :)

Huone on reilunkokoinen ja kaikki toimii mainiosti: hyvä suihku/amme, ilmastointi, erinomainen sänky, kunnon pimennysverhot ja riittävästi säilytystilaa. Huoneessa ei ole automaattisesti kylpytakkia ja -tossuja vaan ne täytyy pyytää erikseen. Aamiaista en kokeillut. Sijainti on hauska, vaikka onkin noin vartin bussimatkan päässä juna-asemalta ja kävellen keskustaan kestää puolisen tuntia. Keskustaan voi kävellä joko tylsähkösti mutta nopeammin siltaa pitkin tai mielenkiintoisesti laakson kautta. Laakson kautta pääsee puikkelehtimaan kinttupolkuja, tunneleita ja portaita pitkin keskellä metsää ja vanhoja raunioita. Kestää suuntavaistosta riippuen puolesta tunnista eteenpäin eikä onnistu korkokengillä. Vaatii myös kipuamista, mutta on sen arvoista. Hotellin ympäristö on toiselta puolelta kalseaa modernia arkkitehtuuria ja EU-alueita ja toiselta puolelta periluxemburgilaista vehreyttä. Suosittelen hotellia lämpimästi!

Rooms were clean and big. The area is surrounded by greenery. While not in the heart of the old town, its still accessible to old town by the tram and bus. To and from airport is easy by bus, but be prepared to walk about 10mins or so from the nearest bus stop to the hotel (or you can catch a bus then change to a tram as the tram stop is nearer). Public transport in Luxembourg is free.

Location was a bit remote but we were able to walk to the Casements (about 30 min). Staff was lovely - friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The gym and saunas were a big plus. Only one suggestion - new bathrobes please! Would stay again.

Matkusti kumppanin kanssa
The hotel is not conveniently located and everything requires a private taxi (there are no Ubers) or public transport. There are no USB charging ports in the room and the whole hotel had one converter. The cable television had no signal. They advertise views, but, not really, unless youre on the top floor and have a long neck. The breakfast had a nice selection.

Hyvää: Siisteys, henkilökunta ja palvelu, palvelut/mukavuudet ja majoituspaikan kunto ja tilat
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast on Saturday was chaotic due to the numbers of guests which spoiled the overall experience. The other two mornings were excellent though. Bedrooms very comfortable and we all slept very well
