The Space:
Astoria Lodge is a gorgeous modern lodge in a peaceful section of Shorefield Country Park, a stroll from the main facilities, and close to some fantastic woodland walks — leading to Milford-on-Sea village and beach.
Starting with the first bedroom at the rear, is the master ensuite room. It features a generous size room with kingsize bed, bedside storage, a double wardrobe, ambient lighting, shelving, a vanity unit with upholstered stool, and a contemporary ensuite shower room with storage, basin, toilet, heated towel rail, and a compact walk-in shower.
The second bedroom along the hallway is a twin single room, with above-bed storage, shelving, and a wardrobe, in a cosy nook.
Between the two bedrooms off the main hallway is a stunning family shower room with a large walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and storage unit.
Into the main living dining area, a welcoming open plan space awaits with warm tones, gorgeous wood flooring throughout, a modern kitchen, and well thought-out soft furnishings, all combined in effortless style.
The contemporary kitchen runs along one side of the space, and benefits from a fridge freezer, gas hob and extractor hood, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer machine, and various small appliances including an air fryer and espresso machine. There’s also plenty of cookware, dinnerware, crockery, utensils, and glassware.
Near to the kitchen is a cosy dining area corner, complete with contrast wood panelling and upholstered seating, and accommodating four diners comfortably around a simple table.
The lounge area benefits from a large grey L-shape sofa unit, a smart 42” TV, ceiling speakers, and a soft rug for comfort underfoot. Double sliding doors open up this space further onto a stunning front-facing balcony deck, complete with an outdoor dining table & chair set for four, plus outdoor lounge set with coffee table, a couple of sun lounger chairs, and a gas BBQ.
One travel cot and high chair are available upon request for babies and toddlers (and for families of 5). The lodge is pet friendly, and there are some great walks for dogs nearby!
There’s free high speed Wi-Fi throughout. There’s also a hairdryer, an iron & board, and wireless hoover.
There’s one private allocated parking bay for the apartment at the front of the lodge to utilise for your stay.
Please note: there are a couple of steps up the decking and main entrance.

Shorefield Country Park has a wide range of things to do, including various leisure facilities: with pools, gym, a spa and tennis courts; food & drink options: The Beachcomber Bar & Restaurant serves food all day, and there's a convenient shop for basic groceries; plus entertainment for all the family, with fun day activities, performances and workshops for the kids, and live evening entertainment for the grown ups.
If you’re up for the walk, a nature trail near the lodge takes you through some lovely woodlands all the way to Milford on Sea village. Milford on Sea has a friendly, buzzy feel, with a mixture of locals and holidaymakers walking around the village, enjoying the eateries, shops, and beach walks. You’ll be spoilt for choice for places to eat & drink nearby — with pubs, cafés, tea rooms, and restaurants all within walking distance.
For shoppers, the charming coastal Georgian town of Lymington is fantastic for its weekly Saturday market and its many high street shops, supermarkets, and boutiques. It makes for an ideal base for many coastal pursuits, including yachting & sailing facilities, ferries to the Isle of Wight, and maritime historical sites such as Hurst Castle. To the north is The New Forest, with its incredible scenery, quaint villages, and abundant wildlife.
You’ll be right next to West Hampshire’s coastline — a short walk south you’ll find Milford-on-Sea Beach; further east on a thin shingle spit, you can reach Henry VIII’s fortress Hurst Castle; and west leads to Barton-on-Sea.
Further along on the coastline at the Hampshire & Dorset border is Highcliffe, with its impressive Grade 1 listed Highcliffe Castle, and with steps down to the beach here leading on west to Avon Beach and Mudeford.
Christchurch is another historic coastal town and lovely area to explore and well worth a trip. Hengistbury Head nature reserve is accessible on foot or bikes, and makes for a great day out too — if you continue around this headland it leads you to Mudeford Sandspit and its iconic beach huts. Mudeford Sandspit can also be accessed via ferry from the Avon Beach Mudeford Car Park.
