We wanted accommodation with parking on site so we applied the 'parking' filter when booking and this apartment was offered to us. In the owners description, he clearly states; " so leave your car at the property, which offers on site parking". Our interpretation of this was that we would be able to park our car at the property and that parking would be free, as it is with other properties we have booked. We have screen shots of the owners description and of the filters selected, should there be any dispute. When we arrived in the street, the owner directed us to an underground municipal multi storey car park several hundred metres away. We had to pay 81 euros for 64 hours of parking. It was a long way to walk with luggage and food for 3 days and so we had to go back several times. The location is great providing you don't have car.
Superficially the apartment appeared clean but there were lots of long black hairs on the shower taps and on the bathroom floor and many cobwebs on the bedroom ceiling and kitchen ceiling. The communal areas are dark and dirty. The check in process was dreadful because we were asked to send texts when leaving our previous destination, then 3 hours before arrival and then 1 hour before arrival in Lyon. Then just after arrival there were more texts with WiFi codes etc. On the day we left the texts started at 7.20am, repeatedly asking us if we had turned everything off. So for us the communication process was irritating.
