”Breakfast was excellent with friendly and efficient staff. Between midnight and 3:00am there was a great deal of drunken singing in the street. One of the revellers tapped on my bedroom window. Perhaps this was a one time event(England vs Norway.). It wasn’t really a problem for me, but my wife, had she been there with me, would have felt threatened by this. The lack of night security should be remedied.”

”We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge...

Jan and his colleagues were all helpful, friendly and enthusiastic throughout. Room was absolutely spotless, well appointed and comfortable. Food was exceptional, can’t speak highly enough about the evening meal we had it was absolutely delicious and breakfast in the morning was tasty too, super fresh pastries! ”Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful .”

”The location was absolutely brilliant as it's so central although be aware that this is a lively pub so if you want a quiet stay it's maybe not for you. I went with a friend and we loved every minute, so much so that we're going to make it a yearly visit. Our rooms were clean with very comfortable beds, the staff are, without exception, super friendly, as is the Manager. We can definitely recommend the breakfast as it's wonderful!”

”A 3-star hotel / bed-and-breakfast - very personal, friendly service. The hotel is visited daily by locals buying newspapers. All meals cooked to order, including breakfast - a nice change to the usual experience in hotels nowadays. We turned up at about 4.30pm to find opening time was 5pm - we must have missed this in the instructions. The hotel was open promptly at 5 pm however. On the Sunday the bar closed at 5pm so dinner had to be elsewhere - not a problem for us as we always tend to have...
