”Excellent overnight stay. Our room was much bigger and quieter than expected after reading some reviews. Main area had a comfy double bed with plenty of space around it, bedside units, long dressing table and large tv. There was a big dressing area with clothes storage and then a good size bathroom. Rain shower was centred in the bath so one could move freely under the powerful spray.
We ate in the restaurant and found the meals to be generous, tasty and very good value. Bar prices were also...
”Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal.

The option of air conditioning would be a bonus, but we were provided with a fan and the fact that you can open a window meant that we had a comfortable room temperature. All the staff were lovely, Lesley was particularly helpful. We have stayed here previously and the refurbishments have made it an even better experience.”

”After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town.
