Green parrot paradise

After one week of driving around Sri Lanka, we were happy to arrive at the Green parrot Villa. Sudath, Thusha and Isa gave us a very warm welcome. They showed us around the House and the premises. Sudath came every morning to check whether everything was ok. Thusha, a very friendly and polite man was there when needed and took care of everything. He took us with his Tuk Tuk to a moonstone mine and the biggest lying Buddha. Being invited to his house and getting to know his family certainly was a Highlight of our stay. Isa is a wonderful Cook, who prepared delicious meals with fresh and high quality ingredients. We had dinner there nearly every night, because we could not get better Food. Try her devilled chicken and her dhal soup. The House and the surroundings were fantastic. We loved the Pool, the endless beach,the comfortable and wonderful air conditioned bed rooms, the spacious and very clean bath rooms. The house is nicely furnished and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We can highly recommend the Green Parrot Villa. It is a local area there are not many tourists around, but everything you need is close by and you have the Chance to get in touch with the locals. Talking to Thusha gave us an inside view of the life of Sri Lankan people and we learned a lot from him. We want to say thank you to all these wonderful people and wish them and there families all the best.

Vi havde et dejligt ophold. Vi er i begyndelsen af 60'erne, arbejder stadig, så det vi gerne ville var at trække stikket og slappe af, hvilket vi virkelig gjorde i denne skønne villa, som kommer med et yderst hjælpsom personale. Vi nød den dejlige pool, selv om havet lå lige foran havelågen. Der var store bølger det meste af tiden, så vi nød lyden af havets brusen og brugte poolen.

Really nice property on fantastic beach. Helpful staff. The only think to be aware of is that the Villa is on a main road, and very close to the railway line which is very noisy throughout the night and did rather spoil our stay. Also on 3 of the days we stayed there we wedding events or birthday parties going on very close which totally spoilt the tranquillity of the place.

Excellent place to start your Sri Lanka holiday

After a 24 hour journey this place feels like coming home. Pick up from the airport and Curry diner ready. A beautiful house, nice pool and the sound of the waves coming to shore. Watching breath taking sunsets brings you straight in to the holiday mood. Sudath the manager arranges what ever you need and Aisha makes excellent curry’s. A place to remember and

Amazing villa in the middle of paradise!

We (2 couples mid 20) have spent three weeks in Sri Lanka. After exhausting two weeks of sightseeing and travelling around Sri Lanka we were looking for a house where we could relax for a whole week. The villa of Sudath was the right choice for that! On arrival we were warmly welcomed by him and the two housekeepers. The house really offerrs everything you need for a relaxing holiday and is located in paradise with direct access to the beach and sea. The two ladies made delicous breakfast every morning and cleaned our kitchen and the bedrooms. Sudath visited us everyday and made sure everything is ok, he arranged Tuk Tuk‘s, full body massages and a driver to the airport. Everything was well organized and we could really focus on relaxing! :)

closest you will get to paradise

My wife spent the last 8 nights of our touring holiday at The Green Parrot villa. If you are looking at a relaxing stay this is the place. Magnificent villa with lovely grounds and private swimming pool. This opens out to the beach and sea which was completely empty every day. Every morning we were served a lovely breakfast by the two lovely ladies. The options for eating out here are limited so every night we opted for the curry cooked superbly by the ladies. Some of the best curries we have had. Sudath vists every day to make sure all is ok and arranges a local tuk tuk guy to take you to town which has everything you would want. Very friendly local lad takes over at 5pm from the ladies and serves the food. All in all one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed in. Faultless

Superbe maison, endroit magnifique

Nous avons passé 5 jours en famille dans cette maison. Cette maison est magnifique. Décoration moderne et très confortable. La piscine est extraordinaire, température à 29 degrés. La mer se trouve juste au bout du jardin, avec une plage très peu fréquentée. Le personnel est chaleureux et très disponible. Les repas sont excellents et le garde est également très sympathique et agréable. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Nous vous recommandons cette location sans hésitation.

Wonderful 5 days stay in This beautiful house directly on the beach

The house is well Built and maintained. Housekeeping is good thanks to permanent presence of people in the house. This makes you feel safe. Possibility to be all inclusive: the Cook is wonderful Either for local food or more "european" dishes. Sudath, the owner, is passing twice per day to Check if we need Anything and Generally is finding Quick solutions for whatever issue, from the organisation of à trip to Galle to a simple tuk tuk call for the closest city Everything is in place to have à wonderful stay and enjoy the pool or go to the beach. Thank you Sudath and team for This wonderful stay

Absolute bliss!

We spent a week in April with our 2 children ages 4 and 2. Pia arranged transfers to and from the airport in a clean and comfortable minibus with plenty of room and drinks and snacks. The villa is ever bit as gorgeous as the photos suggest; modern, light and airy but with an authentic feel. The bedrooms are well air conditioned with mosquito nets and stunning bathrooms en suite. The outdoor areas were perfect for us - who doesn't want a pool that leads onto a spacious lawn that leads onto a pristine sandy beach. The currents were too strong to bathe due to the time of year but the children loved playing on the white sands. Pia visited daily but was unobtrusive and very helpful. He arranged a tuk tuk whenever we needed, recommended local restaurants and things to do. The ladies who cook and clean are amazing!! Our breakfasts were an extensive collection of eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles and the most delicious passion fruit jam. We ate dinner in the villa on 3 occasions and everything we ordered was delicious. You must try the Sri Lankan curry. I honestly cannot fault anything about the stay with regards to the accommodation, provisions, staffing or location. We will certainly be back and wholeheartedly recommend the villa. It is best suited to a family or 2 couples. Incredible value for money!!
