”This place is an absolute dump. I don't think it would pass for a 2-star hotel in Europe or Asia. Don't book the ocean view room, the windows will rattle to a point where it's impossible to sleep with the slightest of waves. The prices are beyond ludicrous. Spent a few nights here, expecting this to be the dream Hawaiian getaway after trekking around the island - it was the worst hotel we stayed in.
We had to change rooms 3 times to get something remotely habitable... this at a $400/night...
”Mango Sunset was the perfect option for my one-night stay after an evening landing in Kona before driving to the Hilo side of the island the next day. The room was immaculate and comfy, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, communication with staff was easy, and coffee and breakfast were excellent. I would love to stay at Mango Sunset again for multiple days!”

”The young lady (I think Mary) at the front desk was very helpful during the day. The gentleman in the evening was also helpful. The staff was very pleasant and our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was good but would have like some yogurt that was Greek and diabetic friendly. ”

”We moved here unexpectedly after our original hotel lost power, and it turned out to be a huge upgrade. The Courtyard was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located — right in the heart of Kailua-Kona. We could walk to everything: the beach, shops, restaurants, and attractions were all just steps away.
