”This manor house offered us a nice base when we were visiting Chianti wine area. It is very beautiful and cosy, although it is not as small and home like as some of the smaller countryside hotels/pensions, it has good services, up-class restaurant, swimming pool area and nice view from the hill. In a 15 min drive there are several places to take a look at (like Siena), as well as other good restaurants and wine farms.

We booked a 20 m2 Superior room with balcony, hill view and king size bed. What we got was a cramped 11 m2 room with a queen bed, which they sell as ”for single use”. What they said is that none of the 20 m2 superior rooms have a balcony or a hill view (both of which are must-haves in a place like Colle di Val d’Elsa). No refund or other compensation...
