The lake, walking routes, nearby villages, and the surrounding Ticino landscape can all be explored from here. Golf lovers will also find Golf Club Lugano directly in Magliaso. Shops and everyday amenities are available in and around the village, while Lugano offers restaurants, shopping, culture, and city life just a short train ride away.



Getting Around:

Magliaso is very well connected and makes it easy to explore the Lugano region without a car.



The S60 train line connects Magliaso directly with Lugano and Ponte Tresa. From Magliaso station, Lugano can be reached in about 21 minutes, while Magliaso Paese is one stop closer to Lugano. Trains generally run every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on Saturdays, public holidays and in the evening.



A car is still useful if you want to discover the wider Malcantone region, smaller villages, remote nature spots, or different areas around Lake Lugano. Caslano, Ponte Tresa, Lugano, and the surrounding Ticino region are all reachable for day trips.
