”Great place and this room for solo travel”

”Rooms were clean and fresh and breakfast was very good. What wasn’t so good was that bath towel was damp, either from not being changed or not dried thoroughly. We found the mattress quite hard and sleeping was not helped by the people above us running round at 12:30 pm- assume it was children,”

”This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in the Castle room. Car park was free but small. Lovely greeting from owner. Room was spacious as was the ensuite which had a roll-top bath, as well as separate shower. TV was okay as was WiFi. Included in the price was a breakfast, which was offered with cereal, bread for toasting, fresh juice, hot drink and cooked breakfast. I had the cooked breakfast. Room had a desk and chair to work at if required. Nice touch of a small fridge in the upper hallway...

”My 3rd stay here the showers are good the hotel is clean I stayed in room 1 the bed wasn’t as comfortable as the last 2 times and they’ve changed policy check out is now 10 am so for that reason I probably won’t return it’s good for what you pay but 10 am is just. A little too early for me”

”I loved this property and the setting was beautiful. I wouldn’t pay the £15 for the pool facilities again, even though it was lovely I didn’t feel it was worth it, that didn’t detract from my stay though and will be back next year.”

”I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel appears to be used by the council to house individuals with drug and alcohol issues, which created an uncomfortable and at times unsafe environment. There were visible burn marks on tables consistent with drug use, and noise levels were high at all hours of the day and night. Local businesses even confirmed this is an ongoing issue. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to relax or get proper rest, and I would not choose to stay here again.”

”Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. All this topped with an ample parking space. Last, but certainly not least, the caring and welcoming staff just make it a must to want to go back.”
